Tommasinianus or known as Tommies are a tried and true heirloom. They were offered 1847, almost 175 years ago. They naturalize areas very well and bring splashes of color to the bland winter landscape.
Crocuses signal spring’s return. The blooms pop up even through snow and after months of winter, they may cause you to leap for joy. Plant them by your walkways or where ever you can see out a window. They don’t even need a flowerbed as they will be long gone when it is time to mow your lawn. A natural technique is to take a few bulbs and just toss them in front of you – then plant where they land!
